PS3 Media Server is a DLNA-compliant UPnP Media Server. Originally written to support the PlayStation 3, PS3 Media Server has been expanded to support a range of other media renderers, including smartphones, televisions, music players and more.
I think I use my PS3 more as a media streaming box than as a game console. I mostly watch videos on Netlix and Crunchyroll, and I also stream content from my PC using Universal Media Server. With YouTube and the addition of Twitch, the PS3 offers all of the services I want and the experience is better than any smart TV I have used. Then select your media server in the main PS3 window, and navigate to Folders – Volumes, and select the networked drive you want. Note that this doesn't work with Windows Media Player's UPnP.

This is a great tool if you've got videos on your server you want to play on the big screen. Install the program on your computer and PS3 Media Server will transcode and stream videos in real time.. usually. If you're playing a video format the PlayStation doesn't recognise the transcoding process can lag if your hardware isn't up to the task. If you're playing a video format PlayStation does recognise, then happy days: your video should stream perfectly simply.
On top of that, I can't say that I like the interface. It grates against every instinct of where I want tabs, buttons and options to be. Autodesk flame 2019 0 1 download free. That being said, the ReadMe and FAQ tabs are valuable resources that are definitely worth taking advantage of. Since it was first written, it's expanded to support smart phones, TVs, music players, even basic support for the Xbox 360.
Pros: Works with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems and, to the delight of all photographers, it will display RAW photo files.
Cons: You're going to need some decent hardware for PS3 Media Server to fulfil its real-time streaming promise and it's not exactly an intuitive interface.
Conclusion: If you're still a beginner you may very well sprout some grey hairs getting this functional but once you've got it set up correctly for you the ease of watching videos on your TV is worth it.
